Lisa’s 3rd Annual Backyard Charity Luau

You are invited to Lisa's 3rd Annual Backyard Charity Luau! Come out and celebrate Labor Day and help support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!

There will be swimming, volleyball, dancing, a silent auction (so bring extra cash, your checkbook, or credit card!) and great food! Please also bring your own lawn chair and a side dish or dessert to share. BYOB . . . please drink responsibly!

We will have a DJ and a live band playing music throughout the day--prepare to dance the night away!!

Minimum $10 tax-deductible donation required at the door (and feel free to donate more if you choose)--included with the $10 donation will be a raffle ticket for a chance at some awesome prizes. If you would like to purchase additional raffle tickets, you will be able to do so and I will update this event when I know what the raffle prizes will be.

This party is gonna be huge! Parking will be difficult; however, there is a school on 101st Ave and Missouri which is close by; come by the house, drop off your stuff, and then head to the school to park. Mahalo!

Drum roll please . . . . $3369!!!!

Thank you to everyone for their support tonight! A BIG THANK YOU especially to Lisa Cummings, Jim Leffew, Harry Phoenix, Mary Nelles, Freda Feliciano, and Jason K Walz! There would have been NO WAY I could have pulled this off tonight without you! Also, of course, a thank you to the many businesses and sponsors of this event!

The most meaningful part of the night for me was talking to a mom who has a 28 year old daughter undergoing treatment for lymphoma. Her daughter is getting direct help from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in a form of a grant to help with expenses . . . tonight's donations will continue to allow the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to fund not only these patient grants but research grants as well.

See you all at the 4th annual fundraiser next year!

Anyone who would like to volunteer to set up and/or clean up (which will be the next morning), please let me know. Also, we may need some shade coverings; if you have one to loan out, let me know so we can make arrangements to pick it up prior to the event.
