If you want to eat organic fruit with the smallest footprint ever, learn how to take care of the fruit tree in your backyard!
Pruning is a big part of caring for a fruit tree. If this is done correctly, and timely, you will improve the health of your tree making it less vulnerable to diseases, whilst increasing its fruit production.
I will take you step by step through the pruning process. I will talk about different pruning techniques and your year round timing for pruning the most common fruit trees in the Bay Area’s backyards.
I will also talk about how to care for your trees in a more sustainable manner giving you an overview of the most common pests and diseases in our region and the IPM approach to them. IPM or Integrated Pest Management is an environmentally sensitive approach that relies on a combination of mechanical and organic techniques.
Don’t miss the pruning demo!!
