Remote cloud storage like AWS S3 and Azure blob storage are popular solutions for storing long term data but they are not cost efficient when storing billions of small sized files.
In this talk, I will demonstrate how we addressed this issue and show how you can achieve cost-effectiveness by consolidating data into fewer and larger files using offset references in Aerospike.
*The Talk will be held in Hebrew.About Doron:
Doron Hoffman is a Chief Architect at Contentsquare.
30 years of experience as software architect, technical leader, manager and self contributor.
Specialize with design and implementation of complex, scalable and cost efficient solutions within AWS and Azure.

The mean time between an idea to a working production system using Kubernetes is extremely short! That being said, the mean time to an over-expensive Kubernetes cluster is unfortunately as short. By tapping into a cost-oriented mind set, applying the right monitoring tools, and starting proactively addressing cloud cost, we were able to cut our k8s costs by more than half. You can too.
*The Talk will be held in Hebrew.About Boris:
A software engineer with passion (some say obsession) to observability, charts, and dashboards. In the last ten+ years, he has done anything from low-level safety-critical control logic to high availability cloud applications, and currently enabling the FinOps revolution as an engineer at Finout.
Amateur tech blogger, mediocre cook with a slight Scuba diving addiction.
