Object Orientation for Humans

This month we'll be continuing our previous discussion of object orientation. Why do we program in OO languages? Many are familiar with buzzwords around OO (eg polymorphism, encapsulation), but what are the pragmatic benefits in the wake of theory?

We'll have delicious food and beverages.

Schedule:

6:00 - Doors open
6:30 - Object Orientation for Humans - Anthony Navarre
7:00 - Discussion and coding
7:30 - Exercise in Modeling Objects
8:00 - Discussion and coding
9:00 - Doors close

The best place to park is at the Cherry Creek Mall on the opposite side of 1st Ave. There's also street parking all around Cherry Creek.

Enter the building along Fillmore St and take the elevator to the 4th floor.

Anthony Navarre gave a useful and informative talk that was accessible to beginners but useful for experts as well. The interactive work sesh / thought experiment was fun. The beer was cold.

Tony gave a great talk about OO and why we even use it. Also, Mike's Emo Robot exercise was a lot of fun.
