We will take an easy walk up canyon to the Wood Canyon intersection and go back the way we came. If you haven't been into the fire area, this will be a stark reminder of what wildfires can do. This area burned in May and there is some greenery coming back...lets see if the Sycamore trees survived and are greening up.
The park closes at sunset, so we expect to be back by 7:30, hence the earlier start time
Bring a flashlight and a light jacket as well as hiking essentials.
Parking is $12 inside the park if you do not have a State Park pass. Parking is free outside of main entrance along the PCH. I do have a pass and am willing to shuttle folks in, limited to 3 others. Let me know if you need to ride in with me/us and we will arrange a place to meet along the PCH.
From Oxnard - South on Hwy 1 (PCH) approximately 3 miles past Mugu Rock to Sycamore Canyon Campground on the left. See link above for directions and map.
