Newbury Park Urban Walk/Hike, Moderate pace, 5 miles/800'

This is an easy evening walk/hike (if you're used to stats). Half is on trails, half on urban asphalt pathways. Anna and I recently discovered all of these secret little paths in between the houses in Newbury Park. We'll do some more exploring on some trails I haven't done yet. No doubt they'll be new for you too.

Time: Please plan to arrive earlier. We leave when everyone arrives and wait until 5:30PM at the latest. If you're lacing up your boots at 5:30PM, we'll be gone.

Route: Leader's choice, won't know until we get there.

Level: Easy if you're used to the stats.

Pace: Moderate, and set to that of the slowest walker so we can stay together as a group. No rushing ahead, no tigers or turtles.
Bring: Water, snack for yourself, first aid kit. We should return before dark, but for afternoon hikes you should always carry a headlamp/flashlight.
Wear: Lug soles/hiking shoes are best because we're on trails for half the hike.

Parking: Free, in the parking lot of park.

Dogs: Leashed dogs welcome. Please clean up after your dog.

FYI: There are restrooms where we meet.
