NEW in Newbury Park, 6 mile evening hike, moderate pace

Haven't even done it myself, actually! There will be exploring and looking for trail connections, so if you like a bit of adventure, this will suit you.

We'll be mostly in Potrero Open Space.

Moderate hike due to low rolling hills and not much elevation gain overall.

Trailblazing? No, we'll be on trails that I'm sure others have done before us.

Exploratory? Yes, since I haven't done this route before.

Bushwacking? There might be some brushy trails, but most are in good shape.

Terrain: Single track, fireroad.

Estimated Stats: 6 miles/under 900'.

Pace: Moderate; we'll go at speed of slowest hiker. No rushing ahead, no tigers or turtles.

Bring: Snack, first aid kit, trekking poles if you like using them. For afternoon evening hikes, you should always have a headlamp (or at the very least, a flashlight).

Wear: Layers, hiking shoes/boots with lug soles. You may want consider long pants/sleeves because of ticks.

Dogs: Sorry, no dogs for this one.

Meeting Place: Will be sent to participants.
