Floats, the cornerstone of tableless web design. Understanding floats is a key moment in everyones path to CSS mastery. If you think about it though what are floats really meant to do? They are designed to simply let text wrap around an image. We've taken this simple feature however and forced it into creating layouts all across our website. Floats have gotten us out of the dark ages but their time as a layout tool is coming to an end. Enter the CSS flexible box layout module.
