CSS Architectures and Strategies

On Thursday February 2 we will be discussing CSS architectures, organizational strategies and style guides. Since everyone has their own way of writing CSS this will be more of a forum discussion and less of a presentation. Things I'd like to discuss are selector naming strategies, object oriented CSS, Jonathan Snook's SMACSS, style conventions and of course pre-processors. Bring your favorite CSS organization trick and hopefully we'll all leave with a bag full of ideas to try out.

I thought it was a really good overview of what forward thinking technologies are out there. I really liked that the topics of discussion were open and could really head in any direction. I didn't feel like we were pigeon holed into thinking "this way" was the correct way.
My only suggest for improvement would be to have more working, real world examples of what was discussed. There was a really good example of the sass CSS Development, but I think it would have been helpful to see examples of other topics we discussed.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
