When Furballs Strike 13 - Fursuit bowling at Kenmore Lanes!

It's that time again... furry bowling time that is! After a record-setting WFS 12 meet (194 attendees), will WFS 13 be our WORLD RECORD breaking event for meetup attendance? That's up to you guys, but I'd love to see it happen! (current record is Delaware FurBowl 33, 206 attendees)

WFS 13 is now set for Saturday, July 27th, with check-in beginning at 2pm. With 100+ bowlers to check in, this process takes about an hour, so expect bowling to start around 3pm.

Kenmore loves having us fuzzies and I'm happy to say is the permanent home of the WFS meet. They are once again giving us complimentary rental of their party room. The price, for now, remains at $7, though I've been told it will have to go up $1 for WFS 14. Although we're already getting an amazing deal, get in for cheap while you still can!

Everything will be the same as WFS 13 as far as the prize raffle goes, with individual drawings for each prize - that seemed to go very well last time and of course we'll have tons of "last chance" drawings so everyone has a chance to walk out with a nice gift for bowling with us!

Lots of AWESOME prizes (almost $300 worth) have already been purchased for the next raffle, but if anyone has any prizes to donate towards the raffle that is always greatly appreciated (most of the prize fund comes out-of-pocket, thanks to everyone that donates cash or prizes or buys extra raffle tickets - remember they are just $1 each!).

As soon as FtR and KLM can confirm that they will be at WFS 13 I will update this section. It will be great to have them back!

DINNER LOCATION - Old Country Buffet, Lynnwood

The dinner reservation is set for 6:30pm at OCB-Lynnwood. The address is:

Once again I was able to secure an AWESOME group rate for us - just $12.95 includes the buffet, beverage bar, tax AND gratuity, about a 20% savings over the regular price.

I will have printed directions available at the meet to OCB from Kenmore Lanes, and the dinner will be pay-your-own - just tell the cashier you are with the FurLife group. They take cash and visa/mastercard.

Important: When you RSVP, please let me know whether or not you will be attending the dinner portion of the meet, so I can get a more accurate number of attendees to the restaurant as the date nears.

Time: Meetup/check-in at 2 p.m., start bowling at 3pm (or as close to it as possible).

Cost: $7 flat-rate for two games of bowling, shoe rental and a raffle ticket.

Who: Any fur and everyfur! Bring a friend, or two... or three!

Kenmore is also fairly centrally located, less than 10 minutes from Lake City Way, 405, and is close to Edmonds, Shoreline, and a short jaunt from Seattle, Everett and the Eastside as well.

UPON ARRIVAL
We will be meeting in Kenmore Lanes' huge meeting/banquet room which is just inside the automatic doors on the street side of the complex, near the lowest-numbered lanes. We will have the room stocked with plenty of tables, chairs, fans, and lots of water as well as a changing area for our fursuiters.

I (Kijani) will be there handling check-in. When you pay your bowling fee I will give you a lane assignment – if you want to be on a lane with somebody please let me know that at the time of check-in. We will be doing 5 bowlers per lane. If you need bowling shoes go to the front desk and tell the attendant you're with the FurLife group and your rental will be accounted for.

FOOD
The bowling fee does not include food, but Kenmore Lanes has a full restaurant and bar for us to order from at our leisure. Please do not bring in any outside food or drink as this is against Kenmore's house policies.

Remember we will be going to Old Country Buffet at 6:30 p.m. for dinner.

AFTERWARDS
Just like previous WFS meets, I will be giving out fun awards for high game in “classic” and “fursuit” divisions. We will also be running our prize raffle again with lots of fantastic gifts to give away for bowling with us at WFS!

We should be finishing up around 6:00, and I have set our dinner reservation at Old Country Buffet at 6:30 p.m. Also, Kenmore has been a great host for us in the past and was very kind in giving us this great deal and free use of the meeting room so please help clean up after yourselves. Let's try leave the place looking cleaner than when we came in!

Please RSVP as soon as you are reasonably sure you can attend so I can get a more accurate number of bowlers reported to Kenmore Lanes management.
