When Furballs Strike 19 - Fursuit bowling at Kenmore Lanes!

It's that time again... furry bowling time that is!

When Furballs Strike 19 - the LARGEST furry bowling meet on the West Coast - is now set for Saturday, March 21 with check-in beginning at 1pm and bowling starting at 2pm. If you are bowling, please plan to arrive as close to 1pm as possible so we can get everyone checked in and assigned to a lane in a timely fashion.

The Fursuit Group Photo will be at 2:45. If you wish to be in the photo please make sure you are in your costume at that time, we cannot hold up the photo for latecomers!

We will be cutting off the bowling around 4:15pm, which should leave plenty of time for everyone to finish their two games. After that we will gather in the party room for the prize raffle,do a "last call" for raffle ticket sales and then give lots of awesome stuff away!

PRICING

The bowling fee will be $9, which includes two games, rental shoes, and a prize raffle ticket. Still a great deal, considering two games and shoes on Saturday normally costs about $14.

Kenmore Lanes has finally decided to start charging us for the Party room (which is standard procedure), so instead of raising the bowling fee, I will just take the $25 fee out of our prize budget from raffle ticket sales.

I will be running a $12 special like usual which comes with 5 raffle tickets instead of just one. This will help ensure the prizes for the next meet will be just as spectacular!

PRIZE RAFFLE

I'm not sure how we could top our last prize raffle, but this one might do it - we're giving away A Bowling Ball and Bag Combo Package (retail $100!) in addition to many plush animals, some awesome T-shirts from The Mountain, the Elder Scrolls Anthology (all 5 games + expansions) for PC and much more.

But if you want to help make it even better, donations are always welcome and those that donate prizes will receive 3 free raffle tickets per prize, up to 9 total (please make sure the value of the prize is at least $10). If you are donating a prize, please contact me in advance so I can determine whether to raffle it off as a main prize or "second chance". Thank you!

The process will remain the same as last time as far as the prize raffle goes, with individual drawings for each prize - that seemed to go very well last time and of course we'll have tons of "second chance" drawings so everyone has a chance to walk out with a nice gift for bowling with us!

DJ Brook to make WFS Debut!

We are very excited to bring back a live DJ for When Furballs Strike! DJ Brook (along with Kit) will be making an appearance to bring some beats to go along with the bowling. He's thrilled about the opportunity, let's give him a warm welcome!

UPON ARRIVAL

We will be meeting in Kenmore Lanes' huge meeting/banquet room which is just inside the automatic doors on the street side of the complex, near the lowest-numbered lanes. We will have the room stocked with plenty of tables, chairs, fans, and lots of water as well as a changing area for our fursuiters.

I (Kijani) will be there handling check-in. When you pay your bowling fee I will give you a lane assignment – if you want to be on a lane with somebody please check in together, as we cannot save lane spots that are unpaid. We will be doing 5 bowlers per lane. If you need bowling shoes go to the front desk and tell the attendant you're with the FurLife group and your rental will be accounted for.

FOOD

Kenmore Lanes has a full restaurant and bar for us to order from at our leisure. Please do not bring in any outside food or drink as this is against Kenmore's house policies.

Remember we will be going to Old Country Buffet at 5:30 p.m. for dinner.

AFTERWARDS

Just like previous WFS meets, I will be giving out fun awards for high game in “classic” and “fursuit” divisions. We will also be running our prize raffle again with lots of fantastic gifts to give away for bowling with us at WFS! Additional tickets will be sold just prior to the raffle.

We should be finishing up around 5pm, and I have set our dinner reservation at Old Country Buffet (about 15 minutes away) at 5:30 p.m. Also, Kenmore has been a great host for us in the past and was very kind in giving us this great deal, so please help clean up after yourselves. Let's try leave the place looking cleaner than when we came in!

Please RSVP as soon as you are reasonably sure you can attend so I can get a more accurate number of bowlers reported to Kenmore Lanes management.

The group rate for OCB is $13.25. Remember this does include beverage, tax and gratuity as well. Please let me know if you are planning to attend the group dinner when your RSVP for the meet so I can adjust our reservation accordingly.

I will have printed directions available at the meet to OCB from Kenmore Lanes, and the dinner will be pay-your-own - just tell the cashier you are with the FurLife group. They take cash and visa/mastercard.
