It's that time again... furry bowling time that is!
Our Summer edition of WFS, the 24th FurLife bowling extravaganza, is all set for Saturday, August 6th!
The times will remain the same as WFS 23 - the room will be open at noon, and bowling registration starts at 12:30pm and bowling will begin between 1:30 and 1:45pm, or when everyone that wants to bowl is registered. If you are bowling, please plan to arrive as early as possible so we can get everyone checked in and assigned to a lane in a timely fashion.
The Fursuit Group Photo will be at 2:30pm. If you wish to be in the photo please make sure you are in your costume at that time, we cannot hold up the photo for latecomers!
We will be cutting off the bowling around 4pm, which should leave plenty of time for everyone to finish their two games. After that we will gather in the party room for the prize raffle,do a "last call" for raffle ticket sales and then give lots of awesome stuff away!
Many of our attendees also go to the group dinner, which is at the Lynnwood, WA Old Country Buffet restaurant. We have reserved tables and the dinner begins at 5:30pm (more details below).

PRICING
After a long run of having the base bowling fee $9, Kenmore management alerted me that they must raise prices slightly in the upcoming calendar year. The new bowling fee will be $9.50, which includes two games, rental shoes, the fee to rent the party room, and a prize raffle ticket.
I will be running a $12 special like usual which comes with 5 raffle tickets instead of just one. This will help ensure the prizes for the next meet will be just as spectacular! If you are feeling extra generous and/or lucky, we also have a $20 special which comes with 15 raffle tickets!
NEW: Those that do a $20 special will also be entered in a separate drawing to win a free entry to the next WFS meet! Winner will be drawn at the start of the prize raffle.
Cash only, please! There is an ATM by the front desk if you need to use one. If you bring exact change (or donate the rest to raffle tickets) you will win ONE MILLION brownie points and my undying gratitude.
PRIZE RAFFLE
As always there will be a TON of amazing prizes for attendees to take home in our prize raffle! Mostly animal or furry-related, as well as some collectibles and nice things for your home. There will be a bunch of Zootopia-themed prizes once again including not one but TWO giant posters, an "Art of Zootopia" book, a fursuit head from local fursuit maker DandyLions LLC (www.dandylionsllc.com) and much more!
But if you want to help make it even better, donations are always welcome and those that donate prizes will receive 3 free raffle tickets per prize, up to 9 total (please make sure the value of the prize is at least $10). If you are donating a prize, please contact me in advance so I can determine whether to raffle it off as a main prize or "second chance". Thank you!
The process will remain the same as last time as far as the prize raffle goes, with individual drawings for each prize - that seemed to go very well last time and of course we'll have tons of "second chance" drawings so everyone has a chance to walk out with a nice gift for bowling with us!
For those new to the prize raffle, each ticket comes in a pair, simply separate each ticket and drop ONE of the two matching numbered tickets into the bag labeled with the prize you want to win. It's that easy!
DJ Br00k & Kit to return for WFS 24!
The awesome DJ Br00k & Kit will be returning once again to spin some "chunez" for all of you! We will turn the high end of the bowling alley into a dance floor!
UPON ARRIVAL
We will be meeting in Kenmore Lanes' huge meeting/banquet room which is just inside the automatic doors on the street side of the complex, near the lowest-numbered lanes. We will have the room stocked with plenty of tables, chairs, fans, and lots of water as well as a changing area for our fursuiters.
I (Kijani) will be there handling check-in. When you pay your bowling fee I will give you a lane assignment – if you want to be on a lane with somebody please check in together, as we cannot save lane spots that are unpaid. We will be doing 5 bowlers per lane. If you need bowling shoes go to the front desk and tell the attendant you're with the FurLife group and your rental will be accounted for.
FOOD
Kenmore Lanes has a full restaurant and bar for us to order from at our leisure. Please do not bring in any outside food or drink as this is against Kenmore's house policies.
I will provide a cooler of bottled water to help keep our fursuiters hydrated, if you would like to donate water and/or sports drinks, it is greatly appreciated!
AFTERWARDS
Just like previous WFS meets, I will be giving out fun awards for high game in “classic” and “fursuit” divisions. We will also be running our prize raffle again with lots of fantastic gifts to give away for bowling with us at WFS! Additional tickets will be sold just prior to the raffle.
We should be finishing up around 5pm, and I have set our dinner reservation at Old Country Buffet (about 15-20 minutes away depending on traffic) at 5:30 p.m. Also, Kenmore has been a great host for us in the past and was very kind in giving us this great deal, so please help clean up after yourselves. Let's try leave the place looking cleaner than when we came in!
