Furlife: Pacific Northwest Furries

Our late Fall Furbowl When Furballs Strike 55 has been booked for Saturday, Nov. 22! The theme will be Japanese Pop Culture, celebrating all things from The Land of the Rising Sun. Japan has given us anime, incredible folklore including characters from the nine-tailed Kitsune to Godzilla, and of course Nintendo and Pokémon! Look for many themed items in our prize raffle!

We are very excited to offer two unique Ultrasponsor gifts for those registering at the $30 level: A gorgeous custom Sensu bamboo fan in 3 different designs, etched with FurLife NW - WFS 55 on the handle, and a lucky Maneki Neko cat figurine! Sensu fans are used for more than just cooling; they are a functional symbol of elegance and essential for conveying emotion and narrative in performances. Include in the Notes/info section your Telegram handle (if you have one, for confirmation), what name you want on the bowling score screen (this will also be your check-in name), and which color fan you want, or alternate gift, if Ultrasponsoring. We have been selling out of lanes the last several meets so we will be putting up to 6 bowlers per lane.

IMPORTANT: If you would like to bowl in a group, please make sure ALL members pre-reg (put in the notes section who you want to bowl with).

If you pre-reg, there will two separate, much faster-moving lines where you quickly pick up your raffle tickets, gifts and lane assignment. Pre-Reg closes at 11:59pm on Tuesday, Nov. 18. Do not send payments in after the cutoff as you will still have to go to the at-event reg line.

FURSUIT CHANGING/GROUP PHOTO

We have a dedicated room for fursuit changing/storage (behind the party room partition). Please be courteous to other attendees and only use this room if you need to, and try to space out usage so it doesn't overcrowd.

The fursuit group photo begins staging at 2pm before bowling starts. When setting up for the photo please let shorter fursuiters be in the front, and spread out side-to-side as much as possible since the photo is taken as a panoramic. Those in front must either sit or kneel.

2:00-2:15 - Fursuit Group Photo (usually in the middle of our assigned lanes, listen for announcement)

4:30-5:30pm - Awards, Charity Auction Prize Raffle

CHARITY AUCTION & DRIVE
Our charity beneficiary for the WFS 55 Auction will be the local (Evergreen) Chapter of the ALS Association! ALS is a debilitating progressive neurodegenerative disease with no cure. The ALS Association provides funding for life-saving research, in addition to support and treatment for those and their families battling the disease. If you have a high-value gift to donate (at least $100 in value) please contact Kijani. Let's raise a bunch of money for this great cause!

Lovella will also be running a food, toys & necessities drive for several different charities - please bring non-perishable food, toiletries, new clothes. pet items and toys to help those in need this holiday season. Donations will be accepted in the Party Room during registration. Raffle tickets will be given out based on the number of items and total donation.

PRIZE RAFFLE

There will be many amazing prizes for attendees to take home in our prize raffle which takes place in the Party Room after bowling.

Extra tickets may be purchased for $1 each (or $4 for 5) anytime during reg, and we will do last call after bowling ends. Raffle proceeds go towards costs of running the world's largest furbowl, prizes for the next WFS & our monthly dues for FurLife on Meetup.

DJ ANNOUNCEMENT

Our WFS 55 DJ will be Neko Boy! He has played at IndyFurCon and many local events here in the Seattle area, and is excited to spin his mix of Electro House for everyone's enjoyment during bowling!

GROUP DINNER

We are bringing back the Pizza Party, catered by the 11th Frame Restaurant at Kenmore Lanes! Just $11 everyone gets a delicious pizza buffet, salad, fries, bottomless soft drinks, a dessert and door prizes! FOOD

Kenmore Lanes has a full restaurant and bar for us to order from at our leisure. Please do not bring in any outside food or drink as this is against Kenmore's house policies. Things like bottled water/sport drinks kept in the party room for our fursuiters is fine and encouraged.

When Furballs Strike 52 - New World Record! 411 attendees, 203 fursuiters!

Our official WFS 55 Group Dinner will be another Pizza Party at Kenmore Lanes! Join us in the party room for a fun, affordable group dinner catered by the 11th Frame Restaurant and Bar after bowling and our Charity Auction & prize raffle.

We will be ordering 8-10 XL pizzas from Kenmore Lanes, as well as a large bowl of salad, and fries. Soft drinks and assorted desserts will be included as well. If you're 21 or over, you may order alcoholic drinks from the bar and bring them in to the party room. There will also be some door prizes given away as a thank you for attending the dinner!

Entry to the dinner will be $11 (this includes a gratuity for the waitstaff) and RSVP only.

The first 40 paid RSVPs are guaranteed spots to the dinner. To pre-pay, please send the $11 to paypal.me/kijani or https://www.venmo.com/u/kijanilion using the Friends and Family option, and include your FurLife name in the Notes (along with anyone else you're paying for) so we can credit them as paid. If you haven't pre-registered for bowling yet, please send the payment together if you can!

If there are spots remaining on the day of the event, anyone who is not on the RSVP list may pay for their dinner during the registration period of WFS 55 (Noon-1:30pm).

Everyone who is paid will be on the RSVP list, which is required to be in the room for the Pizza Party (we'll do a roll call prior to the food being served). The pizzas are all 16" Extra Larges so the slices are very big. There will be plenty for everyone to have seconds (we can always order more if we need to), but we ask that you limit your first serving to 2 slices.

We ARE allowed to bring in outside desserts so if people want to bring cookies or other goodies to share that is encouraged too!

There will be some free giveaways and door prizes just for dinner attendees as a thank you for attending the Pizza Party!

Please note - we have to cap RSVPs for this at 40 due to the available space and seating we have. If you are waitlisted, we often have people drop out or no-show, so we may be able to fit you in.

We'll order a wide variety of pies to satisfy most palettes (plain cheese, pepperoni, veggie, combo, hawaiian, meat lovers, etc) but if you'd like to request a certain type of pizza, comment below! If you have any questions regarding the pizza party DM me here on Meetup or Telegram @kijani_lion.
