I would like to add if you do not want to talk to someone you do not know about your problems it is ok to talk to a close friend and or family member. I have experinced alot about things such as this and to be honest i went through the motions myself. I was trained a little in a way with bullying as well while i attended OYCP (Oregon Youth Challenge program) and if you like to talk to me about any problems i am willing to help as well. One thing i would like to say if you are going through these emotions all i ask is to stop and think before acting. Alot of Furries i know care for each other so much like Robert just said we are like a big Family. True some might not care for others but their is so much more of us that do and i encourage if you are going through negative emmotions talk to a close friend you really trust and or call the holine or talk to me. I am willing to talk and keep everything private and if in the Portland area and need some company i am willing to meet you in person to help with anything i can.

There is so much people who be willing to talk to anyone that has these problems. It is also ok to be scared to talk about your problems but it is encouraged to talk to someone close to help you get over your fear as well.

Subject: [furries-290] Suicide and Loss.

I hate this topic, yet, it still comes up.

I recently lost someone I was very close to once upon a time to suicide, I wish this didn't keep happening, yet it seems to.

The fandom is a loving, weird family, we always have room to lend a helping hand, to have a friendly ear, and every loss hurts just that much more. We want to be there for anyone who needs a helping hand.

This is the second time in a year I have dealt with suicide - it does not get easier, and if anything, this one hurts more than the last.
I know that the choice may seem easy, consider those left behind, We would rather help you work thru your problems, then try to pick up the pieces and be left asking why.

If you feel alone, need someone to talk to, or are considering self-harm, please reach out for help, get a hold of me, reach out on this very list, or find your local suicide hotline, please.
