Integrating Apache Flink and Apache NiFi

In this talk we will give an overview of Apache NiFi and how it can be used to bring data to an analytic platform like Apache Flink. Specifically we’ll discuss the details of the NiFiSource and NiFiSink that were developed for Flink Streaming, and talk through a real world use-case for integrating the two technologies, with a focus on using analytic results to dynamically adjust your data flows.

Speaker: Bryan Bende is a Member of the Technical Staff at Hortonworks where he develops dataflow capabilities around the core framework of Apache NiFi, and has over ten years of experience developing enterprise software solutions. Bryan received a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland at College Park, and a M.S. in Computer Science from John Hopkins University.

Same techniques can be applied to integrate Storm and Apex with Apache Nifi.
