We have a great talk by Daniel Hermes Developer Programs Engineer at Google working on the App Engine team. Daniel will speak about AppEngine with an emphasis on building mobile backend applications using AppEngine.
We will wrap up the meeting with a talk by Christopher Fry, Research Scientist at the MIT Media Lab. Christopher is writing a large program (Justify) for helping geographically diverse groups make complex decisions within a shared information space on the web. Justify uses Google App Engine for the shared database and server-side logic (via Python). The talk will explain the program's architecture, use of GAE's NDB persistent store and the rest of the technology stack including client side languages.
The presentation will conclude with what's been easy and what's been hard.
