YogaQuest Hobbit Yoga

Join the YogaQuest crew as we celebrate the long-awaited release of “The Hobbit” with a very special yogic tribute to J. R.R. Tolkien’s Classic story.

Become a Hobbit for the evening (or a Wizard, or a Dwarf, or whichever Middle Earth happens to be your personal favorite). There will be action and adventure, magic and mystery, as well as animal noises and probably a little bit of singing!

YogaQuest is unlike any yoga class you may have experienced before. It is a unique and hilarious blend of vinyasa yoga and fan-fiction story-telling, as a narrator and a certified yoga instructor lead the class through a yoga routine designed to improve strength, balance, and flexibility, while making exercise riotously fun!!!

All skill levels and abilities are welcome. Children 8 years of age and up are welcome to participate, but anyone under 18 must have an adult guardian present.

$5 class fee is payable to the instructor in class (look for the Money Hat). Please bring a yoga mat, a bottle of water, and your sense of fun and adventure. (A limited supply of yoga mats are available for rent from the Instructor, $1 each).

We had a small but committed group of yogeeks and yogeekies tonight, despite the truly awful road conditions (and seriously hosed-up bus routes). Thank you to everyone who made it! And a huge thank you to Kristin the Yoga Sage, for leading us in our practice tonight. :)

I really wish I could have attended - I had planned to bring my 11 year old son - but instead I spent the evening at the ER with my mom (dehydration in the elderly is not fun).

What a great class. We even had our own musical accompaniment. Thanks Kristin for leading us on the journey and back again.
