Blogging with WordPress

WordPress is a great CMS that started out as a humble blogging tool. This session will go "back to the roots" and focus on using WordPress to write a great blog.

You don't need any blogging experience to attend, but you should have a WordPress blog set up somewhere. We'll be actually doing stuff, it's not just show&tell time.

What we will cover:

• why blog? about what? what will it achieve?
• using WordPress to blog (technicalities): posting an article, managing comments, settings and stuff
• how to write when you're blogging
• advanced topics: multi-author blogs, scheduling articles, multiple languages, and promoting your blog.

Stephanie Booth – @stephtara – studied Indian religions and coded a couple of WordPress plugins. She earns a living speaking, training, consulting, editing blogs, and exploring the field of Blogger Relations. She also manages Switzerland's first coworking space, eclau.
