I have been using GIS tools for the past twenty-five years from the Unix command line based ESRI software to the current ArcGIS 10 incarnation with side trips into GRASS and Manifold System and other civil engineering, surveying and GPS software and applications.
I am interested in 3-D simulations as well as complex analysis incorporating economic inputs as well as historic physical measurements to create better models of existing conditions and evaluate and predict the outcomes of certain decisions on future events.
GIS is becoming more pervasive, thanks to the continued development of the tools by ESRI and others and the availability of much more diverse data. I look forward to sharing my experiences as well as collaborating with others with similar interests.
Ten Ignite presenters and two long form presentations as well as info on new Google Maps deployment - and pizza and drinks. NICE! Thanks to all who put this evening together and those who participated.
