Dear members and prospective members,

We are an expat group of Germans and as such we would like to communicate with each another. We will talk about our life, challenges etc. living in a different country as well as try to keep some of our traditions alive.

Due to the increase of non-expats in our group, I have restricted membership only to users whom the organizer and asst. organizer approve. In order to join, please send us a memo of who you are.

This is not meant to censor German, Austrian and other German speaking expats from joining but rather to curb the influx of non-expats to this group.

Those that are interested in the German language and culture are welcome to join the German Language Meetup wich most expats also belong to and we welcome everyone to that group.

We appreciate your interest in the German language and culture and hope to welcome you in the German Language Group but would ask for your understanding that this is a restricted membership group.

we are looking for hosts for the upcoming November/December meet up.

As the last weekend of November is Thanksgiving I would like to suggest to host the meet up either the weekend before Thanksgiving (Nov 20, 21 or 22) or the first one in December (Dec 4 or 5). I would like to leave out Dec. 6, as I already know that there will be some events going on.... Read more
