Tonight and Leif

From: Ron R.

Looking forward to seeing you all there tonight.

Naggies, 5:00 pm. For the birthday's and just to enjoy happy hour with friends.

Those that knew Leif Johnson, here's the info about the services. If you didn't know Him, I'm sorry. He was an amazing man. One I'm proud to say was a friend. He is the kind of Man that was a friend and coach to all that knew Him. He enjoyed life. He will be so, so missed.

Another reason to enjoy the time you have with friends-hope to see you tonight!

A memorial service for Leif Johnson will be held on Sunday, Sept 22, at 2pm at Bookcliff Baptist Church on 12th and Patterson.  Naomi Smith, Jim Cox and I are also working on a reception at Grande River Vineyards in Leif’s memory. Details for it will be forthcoming.  You know how much Leif loved a party!

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Goose Liver, Inc site. For those of you unfamiliar with Goose Liver as I was…. I google searched and found a facebook page…

An example of Leif’s generous nature to help a person in need.  Leif was the secretary and one of the founders of this non-profit.  Nicholas Echave was only 25 when he was told by doctors that he was suffering from liver failure. At that point Nik’s life changed, and the man that is known by friends as “Goose” knew he was in a battle for his life. Nik, now 28, grew up in the Grand Valley graduating from Central High School. A group of friends called Goose Liver Inc. got together with the goal to raise money to help “Goose” with his medical bills.  The group held fundraisers over the summer and also sells T-Shirts and coffee mugs with the Goose Liver Inc. logo. In fact this Sunday, Sept 8th a percentage of McAlister's sales, from 4-8, will go to Goose Liver Inc!!! This could be a great way to donate to Leif’s memory in supporting one of his causes and helping out a local young man.

If you are interested in sending a card to Pam, Leif’s wife..
