This group is different than many other single groups on Meetup. Instead of competing so to speak, this paticular group supplements other meetup.com gatherings which tend to meet at bars or restaurants or other venues not as good for casual conversations.

GoAndKnow, is a 'mixer' group mostly comprised of late 20's-40's singles with desire to meet in a setting somewhere in between a bar scene and a face-to-face 1:1 date. Enjoy a venue quiet enough people can actually chat without yelling to compete with loud music or background noise. Also, this is not a 'dating' site per se, rather infrastructure for people to meet and talk of work ideas, activities, movies, food and even why guys do what they do. Having said that, if you do find someone to date, excellent!

As cool as technology is, it's no substitute for meeting someone in person which brings us to our next thought. If you joined meetup.com as a tool to connect with other quality people, you have to attend the meetings, even if it is a group other than GoAndKnow. You meet all kinds of characters, yes - some you resonate with, others not so much - if you never try, you can't lay claim there is no one out there for you.
