Interest in Kizomba is growing rapidly! Kizomba is a slow, sensual, fluid dance – a sort of oozing and swaying around the dance floor that can only be described as a pleasure to watch! Originating in Angola in the eighties, Kizomba music is a mixture of Angolan Semba and Zouk from the French West Indies. Kizomba is most popular in Portuguese-speaking, or Lusophone countries, including Angola and Portugal.

Founded by Zindze & DJ Max Powers, in only 1 year Afrosensuality has risen to become one of the most popular Kizomba dance groups and events producers in DC, MD, & VA. Our dance floors are diverse and filled with different styles, smooth & charismatic dancers, and a unique and indescribable energy. The team includes native dancers & artists who have drawn upon years of personal experience and intense technique training and research to assist in creating a unique syllabus to capture that MWANGOLE passion.
