Was great to meet new people yesterday (and see familiar faces).
Details on the Go positions that I was talking about last night:
We're am early stage, funded startup, working in the e-commerce space, and we're looking to fill some full time remote work (yep! from home!) positions, writing in Go and deploying to Google App Engine.
Full details can be found here:
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, and I will attempt to answer as well as I can!
The lift may or may not be open. If not, there should be a buzzer, and try that. If that fails twitter me at @johnbarton

A DEC PDP ?

Yup, not the real thing, Virgin won't allow that as carry on, but a simulator, written in Go.

Cool, people used to tell me the 68000 was basically a PDP 11 in a chip. This will be interesting. I will look up some of the features of the PDP so I can understand what you have done a bit better..
Pardon my ignorance, but what is a PDP?

I'm pretty sure it's a little known predecessor to PHP.

If you're going to be visiting Sydney this week for #rubyconf and are coming to the #golang meetup on the 19th you *may*notice a striking similarity between my talk at that meetup and this one. This is not a coincidence. If you were interested in getting early access to my talk, feel free to visit our meetup on the 19th, or if you want a more polished version 2.0 of this talk, I look forward to seeing you all on the 2nd of next month.

Meetup has allowed me to meet people I wouldn't have met naturally - they're totally different than me.
