We'll enter the surf, swim to the ledge or reef according to group preference and drift north or south according to the current. Will little effort, we'll drift over some of the best diving in South Florida. This region is prime habitat for turtles, tarpon, snook, lobster, and every imaginable tropical. Lobster season will be open, so bring a license and gear to take your pick.
We'll have cars parked at both ends of the dive to facilitate travel from the exit point back to the entry point. This feature is available because Gold Coast Scuba divers know how to work together to provide a great experience for all involved. This is a beginning-level to moderate-level dive, meaning we will have dive buddies for all divers to enjoy this site and stay within their comfort range.
On our last drift here, divers took some of the best pictures ever and we even recovered an old J-valve scuba tank we discovered. Instructor Tom will guide some students on this dive and others are welcome to take the AOW class the day before (Saturday) which counts toward your Advanced Open Water certification.
