Group Organizer
New York, NY
Details are finally in place for the Social Change Camp on Sept. 26th 2009, and registration is open. Please register as soon as possible, since this event is going to be very well attended and tickets are likely to sell out;

http://socialchangeca...

Note that we are using eventbrite for registrations rather than meetup so if you've already said you are coming please go to the eventbrite page to reserve a ticket. Price for the event is $10, and while we can't promise anything just yet we believe that in exchange for that we will be providing some food, a t-shirt commemorating the event, and a $100 gift certificate to DonorsChoose.org to apply to the charity of your choice. So register early, spread the word, and start thinking of things you want to share or learn at the event!

What is Social Change Camp?

Who is Coming to Social Change Camp?

Leaders from non-profits, charities, museums, schools, corporate social responsibility teams, NGOs and other socially conscious organizations are joining with experts from the technology community, including those with specialties in marketing, business development, community management, software development, and website management. When/Where is Social Change Camp?

SocialChangeCamp will take place all day on Saturday, September 26th at the NYU classroom building located at 15 Barclay Street. There will be a total of six sessions during the day. What the Heck is a “Camp”?
A Camp (aka a BarCamp or Unconference) is an ad-hoc gathering that allows the agenda to be set by the attendees. Anyone with something to contribute or with the desire to learn is welcome and invited to come, attend sessions or become a presenter.

How Do I Sign Up?
Registration will be limited to 150 people. You can reserve a spot by going to http://NY.SocialChang... and following the registration links. The cost is $10 for professionals, $7 for students.
