GOT-OC Hiking in Weir Canyon

Details
Time to make our first trip of the year out to Weir Canyon. This has been a very popular hike, and current weather forecast for this hike is cool and a little overcast at start time, with warming as we finish up.
Please take a couple minutes to review the directions. Plenty of street parking is available. As usual, the meetup is at 8:30 and we step off at 8:40. If you are late I apologize in advance for leaving you behind.
Weir Canyon Wilderness Park, sometimes called the "secret park" (it's not even listed on the OCParks website) boasts a nice 4+ mile loop trail, with a series of rises and drops that should make this trail a minor challenge in a few spots. We won't be moving fast like we do on a flat course, so I expect we will be done in just under 2 hours.
Summary: This is a relativly easy hike. This trail is great for training. The trail is well maintained. The scenery is plentiful during the spring when wild flowers are in bloom and the hills are carpeted with fresh vegetation. Stay on the trail at all times as the area is protected by the Irvine Ranch Reserve. The trail begins with a few rolling hills and a small stream crossing (may be dry in summer). At 2.5 miles, the trail comes close to a housing development. At this point, the trail makes a left turn and some hill work. The last 1/2 mile is a downhill walk back to your car on Avenida de Santiago (Street).
