GOV2.0YYZ's Civic Tech Showcase!

In the last few years, civic engagement has entirely transformed through the integration of an online space and advancements in tech. This year alone, Gov 2.0 and OpenGov has changed, and is continuing to, change the quality and quantity of our interactions with out elected reps, fellow citizens and our community as a whole. This boom has led way to a new wave of civic tech and social innovation apps and platforms. These apps can affect and influence every part of our lives and have already broadened our scope and understanding of the potential of using data to shape and enliven our societies.

For our second (and long anticipated) event, GOV20YYZ has brought together some of the GTA’s leading civic teach apps and their teams to talk about this new wave and their role in this growing industry. Come out on November 5th, 2012 to learn and be inspired!
