Excited about Spring Boot but want to get your hands dirty? Come to the Spring Boot Lab, where Galen Stevens @galenstevens and Kevin Greene @SurrealAnalysis will be giving you hands on experience creating Spring Boot applications for data processing, rest APIs, data analytics, and more. Attendees will work individually or in teams building out functionality for an application designed to analyze spacecraft missions and launches.

Attendees should come ready to work with someone else, or with a laptop that has:

JDK8 - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html

Gradle - http://gradle.org/gradle-download/

(but consider using sdkman - http://sdkman.io/ )

A modern Java IDE - Intellij, Eclipse or Netbeans are what we have the most experience with, but as long as you're comfortable, we're comfortable

Regarding host information and where to park:

The GFS Home Office is at 1300 Gezon Parkway SW. Visitors should enter through the main entrance. There is a fountain near that entrance. The parking lot surrounding that fountain will be the most convenient one to use.
