Been looking for an NYC Groovy/Grails meetup. Just started with Grails recently but looking to port an entire software product line to it and get fairly involved with developing plugins and the like.

How long have you been using Groovy / Grails?

Been investigating since early 2009. Saw it a long time before, but originally thought Grails was just a Rails clone and had heard some bad things about the original Groovy compiler.

Are you using at work (in production or getting there), or for personal projects?

Doing technical evaluation right now. If that works out, will use this as primary target platform for generated semi-custom web applications at work (SystemsForge).
