I (Wes) will give a talk about what's new and exciting in Neo4j 2.0; mainly Cypher's new stuff, which is where my focus has been. Labels, new index style, new syntax. And a little bit of what might be to come. For those of you who don't know Cypher, I'll do a quick introduction on that as well.

There will also be a quick talk about Neo4j internals. How the file storage works, and how caching works. I've found this knowledge enlightening in understanding and fixing performance issues.

If you want to check out Cypher before the meetup, I recommend:

The Navy League Building Conference Center is what some people call the room. The building closes at 6 PM, but we’ll hang out there to let everyone in on the Wilson Blvd entrance. Call Wes @ 540 449 5828 if you get stuck outside.

Parking is available on Adams Street on the west side of the building. Left turn around the building from Wilson, or left turn in front of the building from Clarendon.

We just found out that parking is not free in the building - $12 for the night (it went up recently). Street parking opens up at 6PM, if you can find a spot. Sorry for the late notice--we just found out that we wouldn't be able to give everyone validation!

Courthouse Metro is very easy [if you know the trick!]. At metro, go up the escalator and through a turnstile, and make an immediate right turn to the elevator. Take the elevator to the street, and as you exit the elevator, cross the street in front of you (Clarendon), go left to get on Wayne Street, and walk a short block to Wilson. Turn left around the bank and enter 2300 Wilson Blvd (Navy League Building). If you miss the elevator, you have to walk about 3 blocks twice, once underground and once on the street.

Thanks for hosting, Segue!
