This is an introductory session on what graph databases are, how they can be used, and what purposes that they serve. The session will run for ~1.5 hours.

Participation is free but seats are limited.

During this session, Nicole will present, explain and discuss introductory topics that require no prior knowledge on graph databases at all.

ABSTRACT: Intro to Neo4j

This is a high level introduction to graph databases that starts with an overview of Neo4j including why graphs matter, and then reviews the difference between relational and graph models. Nicole will also demonstrate the power of graph databases like Neo4j to query connected data using the Cypher Query Language.
