Qualified Creatives has graciously decided to pick up the tab to host our group! First, let's state what our goals will be. I see this group as a synergistic entity that will help all of us with information on the latest creative ideas, software, technology and other issues. I would like to see our group become the catalyst to organize creative talent and try to build a local "guild" if you will with standards and fair market value specifications that we can use to educate South Florida business. It will be impossible to do it alone and it may be just a pipe dream. We need to band together, first, because creatives are different people. We see the world in shapes, colors and how it touches our emotions so we need to get together and relate to people that see the world as we do. Second, things are constantly changing in our industry and we need to stay abreast of it: How will offshore design shops affect what we do? How do we deal with spec work? Design vs. Coders do we need to both to find a job? What is fair market value for creatives in print vs. web? Will print return to it's past glory?

There are so many issues to address but we need to start now and we all need to be involved! I will start monitoring this site because I want this to be a place where people can interact and discuss ideas between meetings. If you are not involved I will ask you to get involved or ask you to leave the group since just having your profile on here doesn't really help us or you. Not to be a jerk about it but I really want this group to be meaningful and not just be the "largest." I welcome your feedback and ideas. I look forward to meeting all of you!
