The goal of this meet up is to be active. This is where the rubber hits the road. Many of our members are associated with Campaign for Liberty, a non-partisan activist group, and I encourage you to go to http://www.campaignforliberty.com/about.php and sign up. Whatever your party affiliation, we encourage you to get involved in the political process. We welcome all who will participate in the effort to remind our government that they work for us, WE elect them. We want the Constitution to be the foundation of our government again. Have you read the Constitution lately? Go here to read it: http://www.usconstitution.net/ We believe that the government has assumed power beyond what the Constitution specifically allows. We support the elimination of the IRS (--we didn't always have an Income Tax and with it's inception, the government has grown exponentially) and the Federal Reserve Bank (--the government has tried and failed in it's use of the "Federal Reserve" system two times in our country's history. This third reserve has failed as well and should be eliminated. The reserve system should be prevented from ever happening again.) We support States' Rights and condemn unfunded Federal Mandates. We believe in the right of parents to choose how and where their children are taught. We also believe that our country does not have a mandate to be the policeman of the world and that our troops should be brought home. We believe in a strong military, many of us are veterans. We welcome posts directly related to actions we can take to preserve our liberties and return our country to the constitution. If the effort/task is to educate our fellow Americans in freedom, sound money, non-interventionism, and free markets--then this is the place. We'll make our presence felt at every level of government, where just a few people with our level of enthusiasm can make a world of difference. We'll keep an eye on Congress and lobby against legislation that threatens us. Protests, rallies and government meetings will be on the agenda. Also, we have a sister group where we can discuss the more controversial topics that concern us liberty loving patriots. Ask me about joining that group. As the 2012 primary season rolls forward, we will be working closely with our fellow Ron Paul supporters in South Carolina to canvass, phone bank, and Spread the Message however we can!
