Hi everybody and happy new year 2012, it’s time to play golf again !


I am passionate about golf and end 2011, I decided to accept meetup.com suggestion to re-launch the “NY Golf Lovers” golf meetup created in 2007.

There are few competitive golf group in NY city and around that’s why I thought it was a good idea to launch one !!!

There is a new name for that new launch :“Greenmania : competitive rounds of golf in NYC and around”

Competitive rounds just mean that we will play golf in real golf conditions but always in a friendly atmosphere.


Start of the new golf season would be in March 2012 with rounds in Marine Park, Van Cortlandt, Dyker Beach,... feel free to suggest other golf courses to welcome a competition.

There will be challenges for every golf competition : 

  • Nearest to the pin challenge
  • Longest drive
  • Best scores per category,…

It’s serious golf for fun people. We are not here to qualify for the Masters or the US OPEN… ;-)
We are here to challenge our own game and meet nice golfers...

 
Suggested golfer handicap would be between HCP 5 and HCP 36 (double bogey player) in order to avoid slow play.
