Groovy Community Panel
Gradle's recent announcement that they will be switching to Kotlin has sparked an international debate about the future of the Groovy language and its ecosystem. The purpose of this panel is to bring together community leaders and participants in the local area to discuss our experiences with Groovy and what we can do to ensure the future of Groovy in Minnesota is a bright one. Come and ask us anything about the Groovy community.
Suggested Discussion topics are:
-
What can I do to get involved in the local community?
-
What local companies are using Groovy?
-
How do I convince my boss to use Groovy?
-
Isn’t Groovy dying/shouldn’t I start using Kotlin?
-
What announcements were made at Gr8Conf EU & Greach?
-
What exciting events are planned for Gr8Conf US?
Panelists:
Jenn Strater (http://www.twitter.com/codeJENNerator) - Senior Consultant at Object Partners, Gr8Ladies Co-Founder, and Fulbright Scholar to Denmark (focus in Groovy research)
Jeff Beck - Programmer
