Mary’s primary areas of expertise are forecasting, scenario planning, product management and market research. Combined with her strong facilitation skills and business process and operations know-how, Mary helps our customers to figure out what they will need to be wildly successful today and in the future. Mary has spent the past 20 years either in strategic planning and forecasting or “in the trenches” of health and wellness services organizations developing and delivering health and wellness products, programs and services. Mary has been responsible for the development and management of products and services across the health continuum including prevention, lifestyle management and disease management services. She has conceived, designed and implemented an award-winning health behavior change coaching program and is passionate about creating opportunities to increase individual activation and for activated patients to engage in self-care. Other significant experience includes the Menlo Park think tank, Institute for the Future, where Mary was a Director in the health consulting practice from 1996 to 2003. Her research focused on the effect of consumer behavior, technological innovation and information technology on health and healthcare. Mary is the author of numerous publications most of which are related to transformative health technologies and processes. Mary holds a Masters of Public Health in Health Policy and Administration with a focus in Aging from the University of California at Berkeley. Her undergraduate Bachelors degree is in German from University of Virginia. She has been a member of Care Continuum Alliance’s “Transitions of Care” Workgroup and the Markle Foundation’s “Connected for Health” Workgroup.
