Hey. It would be nice to go out for drinks after the next Tech Social meetup or maybe some of us could get-together at a pub some other day after work. (I can get us FREE Drink Tickets and Appetizers.) If you'd like to come (or even help organize it), please message me so I can see if there's interest. It should be a good way for us to get to know our fellow meetup members in a more social setting. We could even do laser tag, go-karting or some other activity instead. Let me know.

Made some good contacts, and that's the most important thing. I would have enjoyed a bit more to the presentations, but that's not really why I was there I guess.

    Hi Fellow Techies,

AngelHack 2012 sounds like fun. I am a software developer looking to join a team for the event. I am happy to work on your idea with you. And now for the acronyms! Java, Oracle, J2EE, XML, XSLT, SQL, HTML, Javascript, CSS ... Please come find me tonight if you are part of an incomplete team and looking for someone like me. Thanks and good luck.

Hi Elliott, we have an idea that we think could make a real difference in the world. Let's try and connect tonight. Cheers, Bill.

Stupid question from someone who is new here: Will the Hurricane that's coming here cancel this event tonight?

    • akhanna

turn out might be lower then expected

      October 29, 2012

    • Eric R.

It's safe to say that (a) the event will continue as planned, (b) it will not be moved to another date, and (c) there will be a *lot* of beer. And maybe even some root beer for me. :)

  • Louis S.

Well, I'll be there if it's on. Though if the wind picks up any further, I'd suggest a Google+ hangout or rescheduling to later in the week. (New here also)

Our team for AngelHack is short 2 developers. Please msg me if you are interested in joining on! We already ordered the tickets for the entire team so you'll be joining on for free (normally it's $40/ticket). We have a revolutionary idea and would love to have more experienced developers on the team. As for the prize of winning the hackathon, you get to go to SF (meet up with Facebook, Google, etc.) and pitch the idea to VC to fund the startup :D

    Thanks!!

Currently we are planning to use PhoneGap due to the web exp of the team but depending on skillset of developers that join on we are also comfortable with building a native app. We want to focus on e-commerce but are open to other ideas as well. PM me for more. Thanks

I've picked up a ticket but wasn't expecting to set teams before the event.
