Hacks Hackers Dublin is organising a very exciting event that features three of Dublin’s finest data evangelists with lightning talks about how you can harness data for storytelling and insight.
Dominic Byrne from Dublinked is known for opening Dublin’s data to organisations of all types. You’ll probably know their datastore from its Dublin Bikes numbers, but through their work, journalists and others can get access to data on taxis, the LUAS, retailers and even rubbish collections. @DominicByrne_
Bahareh Heravi is Lead Data Scientist at The Irish Times and head of the Digital Humanities and Journalism group at Insight Centre for Data Analytics. The event will be hosted at the wonderful Wayra, with casual drinks afterwards nearby at The Ferryman. The event is relaxed and informal with short, informative and engaging presentations. It’s more about meeting people and asking questions than getting a lecture.
