Hacks/Hackers Dublin is partnering with the European Journalism Centre and the Google News Lab for the upcoming News Impact Summit Dublin (http://newsimpact.io/events/news-impact-summit-dublin/) (#NISDUB), which will take place at The Helix (https://www.google.com/maps/place/The+Helix/@53.3865594,-6.2610896,17z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0xe383e03a9c3c9923?hl=en-US) in Dublin City University on Tuesday 8 December.

This is a free full day event and will centre on the theme "The Future of Digital Journalism: Social Media, Data and Video Stories" and will be joined by a number of speakers from major media outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Chicago Tribune.

As a partner, Hacks Hackers Dublin will hold a workshop on "Getting started with Data Journalism with Hack/Hackers Dublin". Bahareh Heravi will run this workshop.

All attendees of the News Impact Summit Dublin are invited to join its After Party at the Workman's Club at 20PM. The After Party will offer a few lighting talks from news startups incl. NewsWhip followed by a karaoke party. Some drinks and finger food will be offered by the organisers.
