About our panelists:

Aram Chung is a research fellow at the Brown Institute for Media Innovation and an adjunct at the Columbia Journalism School. She is writing the Hitchhiker's Guide to Newsroom Algorithms, an interactive textbook for computational journalism.

Richard Dunks is a recent graduate of the urban data science program at NYU and an adjunct instructor in the Lede Program at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Richard is the founder of Datapolitan, a company working with local government agencies and non-profits to build capacity with data analytics and open-source technology.

Aurelia Moser is a curious cartographer in Brooklyn New York, building data visualizations and curriculum for CartoDB and Girl Develop It NYC. She teaches part-time at Parsons' Journalism+Design Program in a course called Web Coding for Interactive Design

Lam Thuy Vo is a multiplatform storyteller and interdisciplinary journalist. She’s an interactive editor for Al Jazeera America, where she leads a team of coder-journalists and covers poverty-related stories. She also teaches data journalism and coding skills at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism's Interactive and Social Journalism departments.

Sisi Wei is a developer and journalist at ProPublica, and she's also taught at CUNY, the New School and NYU's Studio 20 program. Sisi spends most of her down time thinking about and playing games.
