Since its launch about a year and a half ago, Medium has won plaudits for the quality of the writing that appears on the site and the clean and beautiful way stories are presented there. But commentators have also struggled with what to make of the site founded by Evan Williams, the entrepreneur behind Twitter and Blogger. Is Medium a blogging platform to rival Wordpress? Or a publication that aims to compete with startups like Gawker and Buzzfeed?
Come to Medium's offices to hear members of the company's editorial, design and engineering teams discuss the thinking behind the site and plans for its future. Speakers will include Jim Giles, founding editor of Matter that was acquired by Medium, Pete Davies from product science and UX and design lead Dustin Senos.
ceded my spot... would love to listen/watch stream, is that by any chance happening, or contemplated for future events? There are ways to do this w/just a smartphone, if any super awesome person wants to try it.. see http://bit.ly/1hRAyaA.

Still getting over a bad cold, so I'll give up my wait list space. Sorry to miss Ev (enjoyed my internship at that Twitter place!) and seeing other friends.

When and how will we know if people on the waitlist are allowed to attend?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
