Drones and the media: What’s The Latest Buzz?

Drones are picking up steam and 2015 could finally be the year of the drone. There are new products and FAA regulations, and everyone from Amazon to Google is investigating what’s on the horizon for drones.

Today’s drones are easier to use, safe and affordable -- offering enormous potential to reinvent the way people capture data from remote places, providing new perspectives to tell stories in new ways. We’ll discuss the potential of drones and talk about examples with our expert panel including Ben Kreimer, a journalism technologist who’s used drones to turn aerial photographs into 3D models for AfricanSkyCam, and Mark Jacobsen, who aims to use drones to revolutionize humanitarian relief with the Syria Air Lift Project.
