Designing Cards for Everyone: Enabling Posts Across Sites and Platforms

In an age of social media sharing, how can we share better? Discuss and comment better? Enable mashups and storytelling? In recent years mobile and web apps have made it easier to create media (articles, photos, videos) just as new platforms have increased sharing and discussion.

Yet the tools aren't always in step with the realities of decentralized spreading. In an effort to find new ways to liberate and spread media across platforms and sites, the team at Embedly has designed Cards and the Embed Button to help bloggers and journalists include and repost media across sites.

Kawandeep Virdee from Embedly will discuss the data and insights they've gathered, specific challenges of the publishing/journalism arena and a look into where this space is headed.

Transportation: Plenty of free parking. Red Line: It's a 5-minute walk from the JFK/UMass stop. Walk towards the Shaw's Sipermarket; the Globe is 2-3 buildings past that.

Totally sorry for the late bail; had a fast-moving project blow up on me today. Will there be any video taken? Thanks, see you next time!
