Hacks/Hackers Colorado Meetup

Our next Hacks/Hackers Colorado meetup is coming up on Wednesday, May 25 at Atlas, and we've booked a great lineup of local media-based companies to demo for us that night, including Callistofm, the Digital Media Test Kitchen, Street Fight, Kapost, and Media Salad (the generous sponsor of our first HHCO meetup).

We'll have time for brief announcements before the demos begin, so bring any info you'd like to share or email it beforehand to colorado [at] hackshackers [dot] com.

The format for this meetup will be similar to New Tech's: Each presenter will have five minutes to demo and five minutes to answer questions from the audience. After the final Q&A session, we'll head out for more socializing.

Also, we're looking for volunteer photographers to snap some quality candid shots Wednesday evening. If you're interested, contact us via the website listed above, Facebook, or Twitter.

And spread the word with your hack/er-loving comrades from across the state via @HacksHackersCO and #hhco.

great time. great people. not all the presentations had to do with writing, nonideal but minor. gained several new biz leads for my startup, always good. i have a couple project ideas that may need writers so i'll share that next time for those interested.

Great meeting. Even though it's only our 2nd session, it was a great turnout and a fun group.

Felt like everything was very rushed. I know there is an effort to keep things on track and get to the agenda, but the discussion about future ideas at the end of the meeting was ultimately the best part of the night. The presentations were very interesting and introduced me to some great new ideas, just wish there had been more time for each presenter to get a better sense of the project to then have opportunity to ask questions after. It would be good to have some platform or structure to discuss project ideas or potential joint ventures based on some wide yet simple categories to break the group up into smaller groups. Looking forward to the next meeting and the future of the group.

I wish there had been more opportunity for networking after the demos at Atlas -- I don't know how many folks went on to eat & drink but I couldn't so I felt I missed out.

I was impressed with the people attending and presenting. A lot of talent and experience in the room. Relevant to anyone involved in news delivery, hyperlocal news and business plans, information collection and aggregation, etc.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
