We're very excited to offer "Intro to Programming," a hands-on Ruby training, free as our October meetup.

Attendance is limited to 40 members, so be sure to RSVP and complete the three steps outlined in the checklist below before we meet. We'll provide coffee and light snacks in the morning and break for lunch around noon. (Pica's (http://www.picasboulder.com/), Snarf's (http://www.eatsnarfs.com/), and Ozo (http://ozocoffee.com/) are all in easy walking distance.)

Hackers: Although this meetup is primarily aimed at the journo side of our membership, we'd love your help as trainers and guides. Please contact Dusty (dusty@red27.net) for more info.

Pre-meetup Checklist:

Read http://ruby.learncodethehardway.org/book/intro.html Find a laptop you can bring for the class. Don't forget the power cable! Prior to the meetup, do Exercise 0 on the laptop you'll be bringing, which will get everything set up for Saturday. http://ruby.learncodethehardway.org/book/ex00.html . For Windows users who don't have Ruby installed: Install it from http://rubyinstaller.org/ If you get stuck, please reach out to Dusty (dusty@red27.net), and he'll try to help before the meetup.
