Top news sites in India and worldwide publish several hundred stories per day. Their biggest challenge, according to Neiman Lab's Joshua Benton, is presenting such large amounts of information in a way that’s not just beautiful, but also encourages discovery and leaves room for editorial control.
Hence, the theme of this meetup. We will have:
- Shyam Somanadh share his experience designing IBNLive.com, the initial goals, what the team managed to build, and what he thinks still needs fixing.
- Ani Gupta discuss trends in responsive web design and the business decisions behind them.
- Vaibhav Kanwal demonstrate the process and techniques used to develop websites that are responsive to multiple screen resolutions and devices.
This is our first collaboration with the Front-End Hackers group run by Ani and Vaibhav. Do RSVP on this event's Facebook page too + invite others you think might be interested.
Hacks/Hackers is a global collective of people interested in the intersection between news and technology — journalists, developers, designers, product managers, entrepreneurs, students, and many more.
