happierDC was formed to facilitate exploration of positive psychology — the science of happiness.

After more than a decade of rigorous scientific research, we know that happiness can be measured and we know that happiness can be taught. Increasing your happiness is possible through tools developed in the science of positive psychology.

The club is free to join and open to everyone with an interest in positive psychology, wellness, health, happiness, flourishing, positivity, therapy and self-improvement. happierDC provides an opportunity to meet other enthusiasts and learn from the experts. Additionally, positive psychology practitioners, coaches, consultants, therapists and educators have an opportunity to network and exchange best-practices.

We meet in various parts of the DC region and our meetings will always be focused on the science of happiness and the practice of positive psychology.

This is a new group and our initial meetup was in September, 2009. Professor Todd Kashdan, Ph.D., was our special guest at the inaugural happierDC meetup.
