Meet & Greet

I don't know the Portland area very well, but I'd love to have some kind of meet & greet with everyone - let's get some chatter going! When's the best time? Where's a good place? I'm thinking of something on the west side - afternoon/evening - coffee shop or similar. What do you all think?
