Dear Prospective Happiness Club Members,
We are very excited that in only a week's time, we have had a positive response to our posting. Here in San Francisco, our Happiness Club began only a month ago with five members, and grew to fifteen by the next meeting.
What we intend to set up for the first few meetings is a starter kit that will include a thirty minute DVD of Lieonel Ketchian talking about Happiness being a CHOICE. In this tape, which was broadcasted on TV in his home area of Connitticut, he recounts how he found that happiness was so valuable that he was unwilling to give it up no matter what circumstances the outside world brought to him.
Of course, we have not been trained in our culture to operate this way, and instead have been trained to be problem solvers or success hounds. The Happiness Club hopes to provide you with the knowledge and the techniques that will enable you not only to choose happiness for youeself everyday, but to speread it amongst those you love and are close to.
Because Portland has no Happiness Club at present, we request that one of you be good enough to host the first meeting. That person will be the one to recieve a free starter kit with DVD and Bibliography, as well as an agenda for the first meeting or two. Please understand that this is a not for profit venture and is being offered simply because we wish to share this information in helping people learn and practice the skills and approaches that promote happiness.. Also know that the greater the number of happy people on this planet, the greater will be our own happiness.
I look forward from hearing from one of you for the purposes of hosting a two hour meeting, on Monday the 26th of May, 7pm, in your area. We encourage you to invite friends and family.

I wish you all the best,
